Integrata is a modern payroll and HR service provider whose own platform is the face of their business to clients. As their long-term digital development partner, Hellon has supported Integrata in continuously evolving that platform. When it became clear that their legacy approach, maintaining separate native iOS and Android apps, was holding back the pace of development, we took the opportunity to do something more ambitious than a standard rewrite.
Two different code bases holding back progress
Integrata's mobile experience was built on two separate native codebases: one for iOS, one for Android. Every new feature had to be built twice. Development was slow by design, and keeping the two apps in sync required constant effort that delivered no additional value to end users.
The goal was clear: replace both apps with a single, unified Flutter application that would serve both platforms from one codebase, and do it fast enough to matter.

Rather than scaling up the team, Hellon introduced a fundamentally different way of building software at Integrata through AI-assisted development.
One developer took on the full scope of the rewrite. Instead of writing code line by line, they designed the system architecture and a custom design system, and then directed AI agents to implement it. Day-to-day, that meant feeding agents UI specs and API documentation as task briefs. Most of their time was spent reviewing output, enforcing architecture, and ensuring structural integrity across the codebase.
The result was a production-ready Flutter app covering both iOS and Android.
