Haltian Inventory Tracking Solution (HITS) is a differentiated Real-Time Location System (RTLS) with unique strengths in wireless infrastructure, scalability and reliability. While the technology had proven its value in real-world environments, Haltian needed a clearer understanding of where the strongest commercial opportunities existed and how to prioritise future investments.
Hellon conducted a market and opportunity assessment that combined market analysis, expert interviews, customer research, and competitive benchmarking across selected European markets. The work examined customer needs, purchasing dynamics, competitive positioning, ecosystem opportunities and alternative growth paths.
On paper, the opportunity appeared highly attractive for Haltian HITS: the market need was clear, the addressable potential was significant, and the solution had a strong functional fit.
Hellon’s work revealed a more nuanced picture: the opportunity was evident, but the commercial conditions for rapid scaling proved to be more challenging than market potential alone suggested.
Rather than confirming a straightforward growth path, the project helped Haltian identify where the strongest business potential lay. It clarified where investment would require more caution, where partnerships could create a stronger route to market, and which opportunities offered the most credible path to commercial traction.
The work gave Haltian’s leadership team the evidence needed to make informed decisions about future growth priorities, investment focus and market direction.
